In 2020, the City of Whittlesea launched a grant round to help artists survive the decimation of many creative industries caused by restrictions and lockdowns.

In 2021, we curated an exhibition, PAUSED, featuring artwork by some of the local artists who had received a Whittlesea Creative Communities Fund (WCCF) grants.

PAUSED closed after one day, as lockdown #4 tucked us back into our homes. Now, the City of Whittlesea is presenting UNPAUSED.

UNPAUSED presents work by 10 local artists who received support from the Whittlesea Creative Communities Fund, showcases what they made with their grants, and/or what they did next. UNPAUSED, celebrates the continuation of creativity during times of lockdowns, uncertainty, disasters and life challenges…
