Terms and conditions for promoting your creative project

To successfully submit your creative project for inclusion on the Whittlesea Arts site, you must read and agree to the terms and conditions:

All event submissions must include:

  • an appropriate landscape-oriented image
  • start date and time
  • end date and time
  • contact person and phone number
  • email address
  • cost (if free, please indicate this)

All event submissions must provide either a fax or email address for contact/bookings, as well as a phone number (to ensure equal access by people with a hearing impairment).
Publication on Council's website does not authorise you to hold your event, and you must ensure you have all relevant permits and approvals. See Hold your event in the City of Whittlesea.
Council reserves the right to either reject or remove any event listing from its website for any reason whatsoever.
Events or creative projects that do not have relevance to the City of Whittlesea will not be included unless they are charity events.
Events that are not creative or arts-based in nature will not be published on Whittlesea Arts. For non-creative events, you can still list on the main Council site here.
Council makes every effort to avoid errors in events listings but accepts no responsibility or liability for any errors and requires that organisers check their event listing for errors as soon as they are published. Any errors may be edited by Council on the advice of the organiser.
Council is not liable for any loss or damage incurred by an event organiser as a result of any failure or delay in listing an event.
The personal information you provide is required for the purpose of processing your event listing and to contact you if required. We will not disclose your personal information to any other organisation and will protect it in accordance with the principles in the Information Privacy Act 2000 and our Information Privacy Policy. You may access your personal information by contacting Council on 9217 2170 and your personal information will be disposed of in accordance with the Public Records Act 1973.
All community events will be featured in a filtered list based on their category, as well as appearing in the overall events listing.
Events whose content discriminates against anyone based on any of the following will not be published:

  • age
  • race
  • gender
  • disability
  • sexuality
  • pregnancy
  • religious or political beliefs

Event listings that appear to breach any laws will not be published.
Your event may also be published in print and on our social media channels.
