Walking Thomastown

In April, we explored Thomastown transformed after dark.

We came together to discover the historic Thomastown area in a new light. From Aboriginal dreaming and productive land use through early European settlement into current day culture and hopes for the future.

Walking Thomastown was a night-time walking event that spanned over 2.5km of paths from Main St to German Lane and back. It featured a variety of lights, projections, sculptures and illuminations along the way as well as audio commentary from Wurundjeri elders to local school children and lots of people in between.

The northern suburbs' own Anna Go-Go, legendary dance teacher and mass dance master, assembled a gang of locals to hang out with her to learn the Sharpie Shuffle as part of our Walking Thomastown event.
