The Craft of Monoprinting with Nature

Free online workshop as part of Craft Contemporary – A festival celebrating the handmade

The Paper Tiger Creatives are partnering with the Ziebell’s Farmhouse Museum and Heritage Garden to participate in Craft Contemporary – A festival celebrating the handmade. They are offering a free online, interactive printmaking workshop where participants will discover the craft of monoprinting, as they take inspiration from nature and gardens within their home or local environment.

*Required materials are paint, a rolling pin or a spoon, some interesting plants from the yard or natural materials for printing, cleaning cloths, paint brush, paper (try different textures to see how they will print).

Craft Contemporary is a month-long festival exploring how craft is evolving in the 21st century across objects, jewellery, furniture, fashion, contemporary art, and design. The festival showcases new approaches, ideas, and experimentation by today’s makers through an exciting program of exhibitions, talks, demonstrations and events across Victoria and online.

Paper Tiger Creatives, believe that everyone is a maker at heart. They have tailored a range of adult design play workshops that are a combination of relaxation and creative play.

Ziebell’s Farmhouse Museum and Heritage Garden in Thomastown, explores the cultural heritage of Westgarthtown, an historic dairy farming area established in 1850 by German and Wendish immigrants.
