The Collectively Caring for Climate project aims to raise awareness about climate change and how people can individually and collectively help to mitigate its effects. The project aims to empower participants to take committed climate action through art.
Collectively Caring for Climate participants were asked to make a personal climate pledge, reflecting one small change they would make in their daily lives, that would help the environment.

Each participant was supplied with a small canvas to make an artwork that captured their climate pledge. More than 200 City of Whittlesea residents have participated in the project.
The artworks will be reproduced as prints on footpaths and collective murals. They will be installed throughout the municipality in public spaces such as streets, shopping strips, outside leisure and community facilities, along walking trails and other pedestrian areas.
There will also be an online gallery and exhibition of the artworks in the Great Hall at Council offices, with dates to be announced when COVID-19 restrictions are eased.
