Finlandia The Piano Music of Jean Sibelius

Join Canadian born Berklee alumni, Jon Morrison on the 6th of December to celebrate Finnish Independence Day with a virtual concert.

Famous for his orchestral works, the piano music of Jean Sibelius remains virtually unknown outside of Finland. Participants will learn about Finland's history, culture, it's people, and enjoy some of it's most culturally significant music.

This Concert is made possible by the City of Whittlesea Creative Communities Fund, and is being broadcast from the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to elders past, present & future, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.

Of mixed heritage, Jon is a proud member of the Finnish diaspora.
