The City of Whittlesea is seeking Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, First Nations artists, makers and creative community members for an exhibition celebrating their contemporary and traditional culture in our community, and to showcase the work of artists who live, work or are connected to the City of Whittlesea.
About the exhibition
Council will host an exhibition of work by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, First Nations artists, makers and creative community members, from 16 June – 22 July. The exhibition will be held in the Great Hall, a fully accessible space in the City of Whittlesea Civic Centre. There is no theme for the exhibition, but contributors may choose to draw on the following themes for NAIDOC or Reconciliation week.
National Reconciliation Week – ‘be brave make change’, running from 27 May – 3 June 2022
NAIDOC Week – ‘Get up Stand up Show up’, running from 3-10 July 2022

Delivery of artworks: Monday 13 June 2022 between 10am-2pm and 3pm-6pm
Exhibition ends: 4pm Friday 22 July 2022
Collection time: Mon 25 July 2022 between 10am-2pm and 3pm-6pm
