Greenbrook Singers: Share a Song of Hope with the World

The Greenbrook Singers are a group of ten fabulous friends who have been singing together at Greenbrook Community House and at local events in the City of Whittlesea, Melbourne, Australia for over 15 years.

During Melbourne’s lockdown in 2020, the singers have zoomed in each week with their Singing Leader, Margaret Crichton and together they recorded ‘Pass Over’. ‘Pass Over’ is an original song by Philadelphia based singer/ songwriter Avi Wisnia (US).

The film clip also features paintings, drawings and craft created by artists from Greenbrook & Mernda Community Houses. ‘Pass Over’ is a song of resilience, positivity and a celebration of the simple joy of singing together.

“This dark cloud will soon pass over and there will be sun, sun, sun!”, Avi Wisnia

Thanks to all who helped to bring this project to life and we hope that singing this song will help bring a little ray of sunshine to those that are struggling through dark times.

Produced by Greenbrook Community House and supported by The City of Whittlesea and Community Music Victoria.
